Autonomy:

Estimated time during which the batteries of your UPS can provide backup power to your protected equipements.

• AVR:

Internal system regulating voltage variations : surges (buck function) and brownouts (boost function).

EMI/RFI:

Integrated filters protecting your equipment against radio and electromagnetic interferances from the mains.

IEC:

Computer and office standard for input power sockets.

In-Line:

AVR and microprocessor technology optimizing the efficiency of your UPS, saving its batteries and improving its lifespan.

• Control software :

Allows communication between your UPS and your computer (RS232 / USB port). It saves your work and automatically shutdowns your application programs and your computer when the UPS batteries reach the end of their autonomy.

Master/Slave:

Thanks to its original system SIGMA 8 FTM and 8 ETM shutdowns your peripherals with your PC when it is plugged into the "Master" socket. Also suitable for Hifi/Video.

On-Line:

Upmarket technology, the UPS provides perfectly stable and interrupted power to your protected equipments.

RJ:

Telephone (RJ11) and network (RJ45) connection standards.

UPS:

The UPS is plugged between the mains and the computer. Equipped with a battery bank, a voltage regulator and a fuse, it ensures high quality stabilized voltage level to the current supplying the computer. In case of unexpected failure, it prevents instant shut down of the computer and provides between 20 and 30 minutes autonomy for backup. It protects also against micro cuts (the hard drive may be harmed by failures, blackouts, cuts and voltage variations, above all during writing process). If you are connected to the ground, the UPS protects computers and networks against surges (due to lightning or technical problems).

• VA:

Volt-Ampere unit measuring the power of your UPS.
